Beauty advent calendars – my top 5

Beauty advent calendars are gaining in popularity, with more and more coming out each year. Here are my top 5…

1. Liberty beauty advent calendar, £149

£420 worth of luxury beauty goodies, including a mix of full sized, sample sized products and exclusive vouchers contained within Liberty print draws. It includes NARS 🙂 , Decléor, Eve Lom, Dyptique, Malin & Goetz, Laura Mercier, Trish McEvoy, Kiehl’s, Weleda, E’spa, etc. I’ve got my eye on this one.

2. Harvey Nichols xmas cracker set, £50

Not technically an advent calendar, I spotted these and immediately loved them. 6 crackers containing beauty goodies from Espa, Bliss, Prada, Laura Mercier, etc. Break away from the traditional crackers when you’ve got your girlfriends round for a xmas celebration.

3. Ciaté mini mani manor, £49

15 mini paint pots, 1 full size one and 8 effects/textured polishes. These will keep any nail polish junkie happy for a loooooong time.

4. You Beauty advent calendar, £49.95 + p&p

£240 worth of premium beauty products, including Laura Mercier, Liz Earle, Sisley, Molton Brown, Aromatherapy Associates, Burt’s Bees, Essie, Caudalie, Glamglow, John Masters, Rodial glam balm, This Works, etc. There are a few organic and green products in there, if you’re curious to try them out.

Elemis 12 days of beauty gift set

5. Elemis 12 days of beauty gift set, £59.50

This is an interesting take on an advent calendar – instead of starting on 1st December and counting down to Xmas, you start on Xmas day and count down to NYE getting you prepared for the big party. I like this idea better. It contains £113 worth of products including products from their pro-collagen range, papaya enzyme peel, and my favourite frangipani mono body oil, plus some other luxury products.

When it comes to beauty advent calendars, it pays to be organised and buy them as soon as they are released. Some that are already sold out online include Jo MaloneSelfridges enchanted spells and Benefit. One I have seen in store but not online is the Body Shop advent calendar which I’ll be going for this year. Treats galore 🙂
