Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner – an Alexa Chung favourite

One of the first out of the Get the Gloss edit of a Latest in Beauty box, the Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner in black is a felt tip pen for the eye. Sure, there are plenty of these out there – I own Kardashian Beauty’s deeply felt – and the Eyeko one is much easier to use because the tip is not as flexible, so you feel like you are actually drawing a line on vs painting one on. The only down side for me is that it pulls at the skin slightly when applying.

The line is a perfect and inky black, easy to build up to a thicker one if so desired. It didn’t feel tight on the skin once dry, so felt a bit flexible due to the sodium hyaluronate (which is why I love the gel pots from NARS and Bobbi Brown). It didn’t smudge off despite dancing the night away, and came off with ease with my Mary Kay eye make up remover.

I can see why it is popular, and not just because Alexa Chung is their brand ambassador. You don’t need as steady a hand as when applying gel liners with a brush, and it is a handy pen that won’t mess up the inside of your make-up bag! Perfect for creating any kind of flick for the eye, and not just the feline flick. Go on, experiment and have some fun 🙂
