French Polynesia in London, with Body Shop’s monoi radiance oil

Yup, another body and hair oil. I can’t get enough of oils! And this one makes for a lovely massage oil too 🙂

Body Shop have come up trumps with their Spa of the World collection – they have scrubs, clays, oils and creams all designed to indulge. The Polynesian monoi radiance oil is an affordable version of NARS monoi body glow II in my opinion (I have their original body glow which is tinted to add a gleam to skin).

I love the Body Shop one because it doesn’t solidify like the NARS one (probably because it doesn’t have as high consistency of coconut oil), and it is super cheap in comparison at £16 for 160ml, which means I won’t be saving it for best, and will be using it as often as possible!

I’ve used it on the dry ends of my hair – the smell itself is enough to transport me to the beach (and French Polynesia is one of my dream destinations). Coconut oil and tiare (Tahitian gardenia) flowers create the pungent fragrance of monoi oil, although these 2 ingredients are not at the top of the list, which means they’ve used other oils to bulk it out. I don’t mind too much, although the NARS one seems to be more pure.

You can grab a bottle here. Have you tried any of their other oils?
