Pun intended 🙂
I’ve treated myself to some new foundation for an upcoming wedding – I want to look picture perfect for the photos, and tinted moisturiser just won’t do the job.
I’m not a fan of thick layers of goop that settle into lines and pores, and make you look unnatural. So, I did my research and found this Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation has just what I need from a good base – enough shades in the range (21 in fact) to account for the subtle differences in skin tones, silky texture, build-able coverage, and the look of a second skin, i.e. very natural.
The only down side is that it doesn’t have built in SPF. Fear not I tell myself, that’s what my NARS Pro-Prime Multi Protect Primer* is for – not only does it create the ideal base for my foundation, and make it last all day, it protects my skin from harmful rays and pollution – a proper barrier to the stresses of London life. I even use it on its own on make-up free days.
And the best thing about my new foundation is that it easily mixes with my NARS Illuminator in Laguna when I feel the need for a little extra colour, and then I paint away with my Real Techniques foundation brush to create that flawless finish (I can’t recommend this one enough – it’s under a tenner, designed by pros and is 100% cruelty free). Now, I have a healthy glow reminiscent of weekends on the beach, just waiting for long Summer days.
* for some reason it’s not showing on the UK NARS website. I bought mine online at HQ Hair, and notice it’s also in Space NK and some department stores.
