MAC mineralize skinfinish natural powder in medium tan
Finally, a face powder that doesn’t sit in all my creases! Thank you MAC for bringing out this mineralize skinfinish natural powder in 15 shades (yes 15!) so that I can satisfy my need to have a face powder that matches my skin tone exactly.
I know, it’s a another MAC post, the second is as many weeks – I’m gravitating back to this brand – it was the first one I was loyal to in my 20s – being one of the first to have such an enormous variety of shades in both skin colours and make up colours. Of course, there are plenty more brands today doing the same.
Anyway, regular readers will know I always struggle with face powders – I desperately want to own a fancy one (Chanel will do) – but sadly the shade option is a bit limited to light, medium and dark – call me fussy. But good old MAC has a plethora of shades and finishes to choose from, including this one that comes in a beautiful compact with a mirror.
It creates a soft focus finish, that stays put all day, doesn’t sit in my creases, and doesn’t look patchy at the end of the day. It’s great for setting makeup at the start of the day, and seems to have a translucent finish so can be swiped over blush, etc, without losing its impact. It contains minerals and is slowly baked to provide a ‘dimensional’ (read, not flat) satin finish.
It’s £24 for 10g, and I use it once a day (again, too lazy to take it with me to work for touch-ups, instead opting for blotting paper, from DHC, to minimise any shine that may appear).
