I’ve got a bit of a MAC obsession at the moment – it’s just too easy to splurge on – reasonably priced, a really broad choice of colours and lasting finishes. Their eye shadows suit me, staying on all day and not ending up in the creases of my eyelids as much as other brands do. Did I say they have a good choice of colours too??
This satin eye shadow in club is my latest addition to the collection. It’s a red brown with green pearl tinge. The green shows up in the pot more than it does on my arm, granted, but when applied with a wet brush the green pops out. Sounds odd I KNOW but the colour is perfect for creating a smokey eye with a difference. When wet the green pearl adds dimension, and its intensity can be built up as shown below (left swatch shows it straight from the pot with a dry brush, next to it a damp brush has been used and finally a wet brush brining the green pearl finish out even more.
Dual (triple) purpose. I love the satin finish too – not too matt or sparkly or glittery (I am in my 40s after all and not 10).
