Marc Jacobs Beauty
Summer ends and provides an excuse to buy new make-up. I’d heard negative things about Marc Jacobs Beauty…how wrong were the naysayers! The velvet noir major volume mascara is just that – major volume in two strokes. And the le marc lip crème in 238 je t’aime is a rum raspberry that can be worn day or night – highly pigmented colour with one swipe that does last all day (they say 10 hours) whilst staying supple and hydrating on lips. I can see more of these lipsticks ending up in my make-up collection!
The mascara is £20 and comes in a blacker than black shade, with a curved brush that is unsusual in shape. I’m not sure the brush adds anything to the application, but the formulation is great for building thick lashes. I love 🙂
The lipstick is £24, which is comparable with other good quality lippies, except it only needs one coat, is thick and creamy without being drying, and doesn’t need to be reapplied often, which makes it great value for me! There are 29 shades, and I think I want all of them.
I bought mine in Harrods at a 10% off beauty event, which is always a bonus when trying out new make-up. The packaging is sleek, and looks very expensive – more expensive than it actually is. So, if you’re looking to try out a new brand, then you won’t go wrong with Marc Jacobs Beauty.

These sound really nice. Love the brand and want to try these but I am determined to use up what I have already first.

I know what you mean about using up what you’ve got left first. I have a terrible habit of buying more when I have draws full of unused or half used makeup!
