My desk buddies, always and forever

My desk buddies

My old desk buddies

Yup, spot the hand cream, lip balm, bottle of water and green tea. Predictable and constant desk buddies. I’m on a journey to keep the aged lizard look at bay. Seriously though, if I don’t use hand cream after I wash my hands I end up with scaly skin. Fact.

Constant hand washing can age skin prematurely, so replenishing lost oils and moisture with a hand cream helps. My desk buddies tend to be effective yet affordable tubes costing no more than £4 for 75ml (I use it so often that I can’t justify spending more on an everyday hand cream). Aveeno is all finished now.

My Human + Kind tube was nearer £5 for 50ml, but I wanted to try out this new and ethical brand. I first came across her on Dee & Co. Human + Kind “skincare with a conscience”. My hand cream has no chemicals, no colourants, no parabens, no perfume, no additives, no animal testing and it is suitable for sensitive skin. What’s more, she’s Irish. All I need now is to be sure of its efficacy and we’ll be a match made in heaven. So far, so good.

Carmex’s vanilla flavoured lip balm has made it into the gang too. She’s no Perfumeria Gal, but she’s all I’ve got right now. And I’m going to love her. Delicious.

Satin smooth hands

Satin smooth hands – not a lizard in sight

Another firm favourite is Satin Hands from Mary Kay. She’s my treatment before bed and I really do wake up with satin soft hands. A bit more pricey but worth it. Thanks sis for getting me hooked on to this 🙂
