No time to style your curls and waves? Lush R&B hair mosituriser is a hair styling / leave-in cream for girls on-the-go

Lush R&B hair moisturiser - it's a styling cream

Lush R&B hair moisturiser – it’s a styling cream

I have naturally wavy / curly(ish) / frizzy hair, and don’t have time to blow dry and style it every time I wash my hair. And sometimes I just can’t be bothered. So, in the hunt to find something that doesn’t leave my hair ‘crunchy’ after leaving it to dry with product in it, I turned to LUSH. Their products are a bit more wholesome, so I was curious to see if they would have what I needed – a leave-in conditioner that also styled hair (I had memories of using a Paul Mitchell one many, many years ago that use to just the job, but sadly it contained silicone).

Lush’s R&B hair moisturiser is a leave-in treatment that styles hair all-in-one (for me anyway). It is designed for dry or curly hair, is packed full of oils and butters such as coconut, jojoba and avocado, and smells deliciously of orange flowers and bay oil. The ingredients are predominantly natural, which I feel comfortable leaving on my hair for any length of time.

I apply it from mid-length to ends, and then separate and twirl hair to eliminate frizz and manage the waves as it dries. It does a great job at keeping hair looking healthy and shiny, without the crunch that goes with most styling products when hair is left to dry by itself.

A pot of 100g costs £11.50 – I still haven’t made my way through half way through the tub, having bought it in August last year. Great value styling cream / leave-in conditioner. My only word of warning is for those who have fine hair – use sparingly and don’t apply to roots, otherwise it will feel too heavy on hair, and you may be left with limp and lank strands.

My rating

I give this a 9/10, with 1 point being lost on the heaviness / thickness of the product, so not suitable for use at the roots.

Having curly hair, I always brush my hair in the shower with argan oil as conditioner in it. The first time I used it, I swear it was like magic how little it pulled while de-tangling my hair.

Wow, I haven’t considered using an oil in the shower. How do you do it? After shampooing? And do you leave it in or rinse it a bit?

after shampooing put a few drops of argan oil and rub over the scalp and in-between hair with fingerd, keep it for 2-3 minutes then, rinse them off.
