Party season means shimmer & shine…Nuxe huile prodigieuse Or is a multi purpose dry oil for face, body, hair

Nuxe huile prodigieuse or

Party season is upon us, and I need no excuse to bling my skin. Sometimes the simplest black outfit can be lifted by glimmering and shimmering skin. It means less jewellery is needed, and a dress that isn’t technically a party outfit can be dressed up to suit the occasion.

I’ve only used Nuxe huile prodigieuse OR on my body, and not on face or in hair. I think it would be too shimmery for face, not really creating a highlighted/strobed look but I am open to be proven wrong. And I am not sure I would use it in my hair either. I like glossy looking hair, but not sure I want shimmer to be in it too.

Fortunately, this shimmer oil is just that, shimmery and not glittery, which at my age just feels too childish for me. Plus glitter gets caught in clothes sand is almost impossible to wash out. It smells lovely and I cannot figure out why because the ingredients list on their website simply states “95% natural ingredients” and “no preservatives” – how unhelpful! Fortunately other websites (such as Birchbox) list the ingredients…borage, st johns wort, sweet almond, camellia, hazelnut, macadamia plant oils. So, I think the glorious smell is from camellia.

Give it a try. You don’t need a lot to get the desired effect, and my little bottle from a beauty box has lasted a good few months over the summer and on holiday, mostly because I only apply it to décolleté and tops of shoulders and upper back, if these are on show.

You can get a 50ml bottle here for £21, including free delivery.
