I can’t not write about lip balm! I have one in every room at home, and my bedroom is littered with them. I never leave the house without one (well, 2 actually – a plain eos one and this Pixi one). I have struggled to find a nude lipstick that does a good job of adding both a natural looking sweep of colour whilst also moisturising my lips, and not looking like I am wearing lipstick, until I came across Pixi by Petra shea butter lip balm.
There are 5 tints to choose from, ranging from a neutral to raspberry pink, and there’s even a transparent one if all you’re looking for is a great lip balm. I’ve gone for honey nectar (I can even smell the honey in it) and am tempted to try out some of the other shades. Made with shea butter to nourish and vitamin E to protect lips, it is long lasting with a little bit going a long way. At only £8 they are cheaper than a nude lipstick but perhaps a bit pricier than a standard lip balm.
A tinted lip balm is nothing new, but this one stands out above the rest for me because of the light wash of colour that looks so natural and a shade that is close to my natural lip colour. My lips are quite dark, and other tinted lip balms don’t have the breadth of shades to suit all skin tones. Thanks Pixi 🙂
I’ve been using this all summer and would love it if they re-launch it next year with SPF in it, as it would be fab for beach days and holidays.
