Out of Stockholm, Sweden comes a very clean lined and minimalistic hair care range, with a philosophy of making hair care uncomplicated. Sachajuan’s Ocean Mist has fast become a cult product, a salt spray / hairspray combo used to create beach hair.
Their volume powder was a freebie with one of my (many) feelunique purchases. It’s won awards from Allure, Condé Nast and Nylon…and rightly so. I use it to thicken up my straightened hair and give it a volume boost – straightening my hair can make it look flat because it is so fine. Just tip head upside down and spray on roots at the back of head only, and voila I have fuller looking hair that retains its volume for most of the day.
I haven’t used it between shampoos as a dry shampoo because it is not the version created for dark hair. No matter how much I rub and brush, I can still see dry shampoo in my hair so I always opt for the dark version even if they say it is translucent. It isn’t. A bit like translucent face powder – it isn’t. And hair / skin end up looking a bit ashen.
If you do want to use it between shampoos, be warned it creates a matt finish which may not be what you’re after if you are a lover of sleek and glossy styles. This is going to create something a bit more dishevelled in look – personally I like that.
It costs £22 for 200ml and can be bought here.
This sounds really good – very tempted to get, especially now I know there’s one for dark hair. x
I love their philosophy too. Let me know how you get on with it x
