Another treat from my Latest in Beauty box by Get the Gloss – the Shiseido Ultimune power infusing concentrate is a hydrating and radiance-boosting serum for use under moisturiser. It’s supposed to repair skin, making it plump again, whilst strengthening it against future damage and wrinkles, with results being seen within 4 weeks.

I’m a fan of serums and have tried a few – Decléor Aromessence (various ones over the years), Darphin (a real treat), Oskia Super 16 (it was OK), Aurelia Probiotic Skincare (a favourite I am coveting again) – and this one from Shiseido doesn’t disappoint.

I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and have had lots of compliments that my skin is looking good, so it must be working! It has been fine on my sensitive skin and a little drop is all that I need morning and night. It contains Bulgarian rose water (which I use in my toner!), aqua in pool (no idea what that is), yeast, gingko biloba leaf extract, shiso and thyme – all blended to create and boost healthy skin.

It’s light, non-greasy and easily absorbed. It has a fresh smell that I love (must be the rose water) and has helped with some annoying dry patches of skin around my cheeks that seem to appear whenever it gets really cold.

Shiseido is the oldest cosmetics company in the world – having been started in 1872 in Tokyo, Japan – and one that continues to innovate – this serum has been 20 years in the making!

30ml costs £60 on and can be bought online here.
