My trip to Zanzibar
If you’ve had the foresight to book a trip away somewhere hot for the holidays this year, then know that I envy you and would love to sneak into your suitcase! I’ve done it a couple of times before (not the suitcase bit, the hot holiday bit) and absolutely loved it. Having something to look forward to at the end of the year, escaping from the cold, rewarding yourself for a year of hard work, topping up on much needed vitamin D, etc.
Of course, it gets busy towards the end of the year so getting organised with all the bits and pieces that you need isn’t always easy. Plus the shops are packed full of gifts and not really much in the way of summer holiday essentials. Or are they? I think this time of year is perfect for stocking up on holiday beauty essentials – so many gift sets to choose from that are such good value.
So, as I am fantasising about being away somewhere hot, I have had a trawl through what is available right now that I would want to take on holiday with me, and maybe it will inspire you too…

Wild cow invigorating travel candles from Cowshed
When away, I like to create a familiar ambiance (plus some rooms smell a bit funny) so these travel candles from Cowshed are a great to take your favourite smells away with you. Each candle has a 10 hour burn time and they are free from chemicals, palm, paraffin and petroleum waxes. This one smells of lemongrass, ginger and rosemary – invigorating and fresh. Percy & Reed magnificent moisture totally tempting treat pack
I love Percy & Reed products – I have their Reassuringly firm session hold hairspray and Frankly flawless finishing polish. Now if you’re into the more beach babe, wavy hair look then this kit from Bumble & bumble is the one to go for. It contains their surf shampoo, conditioner and surf spray helping your hair to look sexy on the beach. And finally, some delicious body washes to cleanse the sun cream or sea or salt from the skin. And it’s nice to take something that smells great, is a little bit luxurious and highly moisturising.
