Weleda skin food – what is all the fuss about?

I’ve seen mention of this product time and time again since starting this blog, and my curiosity has been piqued. Weleda is well known, as a green beauty brand, and has been around for a long time (90 years). Natural, organic, ethical, fair trade, sustainable, eco-friendly…so now let’s see if it is effective too.

I picked up Skin Food for under a tenner (you can find it in Boots or online, I even spotted it in Beauty Mart in Topshop, Oxford Street!), and I am smitten. Made with sunflower seed oil and containing wild pansy, chamomile, calendula, rosemary, sweet orange and lavendulae – all known for soothing and revitalising properties – it has a comforting smell and fixes the driest of skins. I’ve been using it on a particularly bad patch of eczema, and I can tell you it works.

So, if you’re an eczema sufferer, try this out. It’s cheap, effective and ethical. Bonus.

Welcome Weleda Skin Food, to my inner circle of trusted friends. I look forward to banishing all dry skin patches with you. You even look to be a good barrier against harsh weather for winter running.
